Seed: a source of development or growth

Farming is the backbone within any successful society. It is by this resource communities are able to grow, developing their resources beyond the limits once dreamed or envisioned.

Farming is often not seen as a glamorous endeavor but its commodity is more vital than any other industry for every industry would be meaningless without agricultural advancements.

However the seeds we will discuss are not the physical portion of nourishment but the moral or ethical seeds that develop into the ideals and the very make-up of an individual.

Youth are the future, this understanding is not always treated as a fact. With today's modern advancements in science and medicine the life expectancy is much higher. We must understand the value of the time afforded. So much more can be done in a productive life span, but one must first sow the seed. By this I mean planting values within our youth and within ourselves that will shift a generation. From hate, destruction, envy, jealousy, abuse and waste to a world filled with a common understanding of respect for one another and peace.

The idea that most of these changes will not happen in our life time is exactly what keeps people trapped in cycle of comfort-ability. Where comfort-ability lies growth and development cannot co-exist.

The deeds in which we sow bring forth growth or demise. Newton’s 3rd Law states that, “for every action, there is an equal and opposite action.” Meaning that in every action preformed a positive or negative action of equal value lies waiting to reciprocate.

At the end of our life will be a eulogy. It will state what kind of person you were. Not who you “thought you were” but who others perceived you to be. Those perceptions are formed through you interactions and deeds. The kind spirited person or the selfish conceded person. It is your deeds that live on well pass the time that your body is returned to the earth and begins to decay. It is your godly acts that will change the trajectory of the lives whose paths you cross.

The seeds you plant in others lives become nurtured through their own life experiences being watered through other angels we unknowingly come in contact with. Seeds of kindness, encouragement, positive attitudes, consistency, peace, and faithfulness. You begin to write your own book through the interactions with travelers from all around the world leaving chapter after chapter filled with adventure.

“No good deed goes unpunished”

Often the excuse for those who rarely try to excel in bettering their environment. However what is worth while? What’s worth ones time, energy and attention? If investing in others isn’t worth the energy given what is? Selfish motives and ideas on what you think will make you happy. The greatest joy is to give your time and talents by doing this you empower others. By consciously planting these seeds your deeds will leave a legacy greater than any amount of money can buy. It will be in the hearts and minds of those you’ve encountered, and their encounters they experience moving forward. Plant a seed, nurture it within a positive environment and watch it go into a legacy.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Galatians 6:7–9 (KJV)
