FRESHLY ROTTEN

Image result for fresh fruit that's rotting on the inside

How appetizing does fresh fruit seem to appear. To the eyes it is appealing and desirable. However, after taking a closer look after biting into it. One may think different.

Each fruit is different in its appearance. Despite the size, color, shape and texture all are able to become spoiled or rotten if not devoured in the proper time frame. Each fruit also has seeds, which if nurtured correctly could produce additional fruit of its own offspring.

When choosing the correct produce one must trace the delivery process from the farmer to the grocery store or food market and the up keep along the way. One must ask if its an organic farm? How is the produce stored and transported? How is the food kept fresh for the customer to select once in the store? How is it prepared once selected for others to enjoy?

In the same carefulness one should select fruit, we ought to do the same when selecting those we allow in our life. Each person has a certain appeal to them hence why we attract them into our life. This could come from different characteristics such as morals or core values and ideals to social and economical opportunities for advancement.

However you select the people in your life, you should have a detailed intentional process. Never allowing people to accidentally find their way into your life without having a process of intent for your life. There will be people whose paths cross and you find that you were brought together for a specific purpose. Those interactions will happen when living out your purpose. One should treat those persons with the same intentional process. The reason being that while one might seem fresh, new and inviting their core could be as rotten as any.

“One bad apple can ruin the bunch.”- anonymous

I once observed a rotten molded fruit placed in the middle of fresh fruit. It took a short time for the mold to spread to the adjacent fruit. The old fruit had caused the same characteristics from appearance and smell to the others surrounding it. The same can be said about people with a rotten personality or spirit. At the core their rotten behaviors, mannerisms and habits can poison those around them as well. Whom you choose to be around consistently you take on their persona you begin to act the same, think the same.

Creating an effective process of scanning those we allow within our world and to have access to our energy is vital. There are some that only wish to have your energy, they want to experience what is like to be like you, feel like you without experiencing all the hardships and troubles that wait to beset you. Protecting yourself from whom you share your energy with is vital in not only your growth but also in your well-being.

As we are cautious of what we ingest we should be cautious of the company we keep. For those we choose to surround ourselves with say a lot about our own character and is the balance of scales of the person we claim to be. Be careful of the company you keep for those from afar judge based off the crowd you associate yourself with. In all terms this can prevent new connections, opportunities and possibilities. Ten or twenty years from now the way you wish to speak, the habits you’ve created and the associates that have become the company you keep begin now, in this moment. Throw out the bad company, cut ties to keep your core fresh. Don’t allow someone in your network that can begin to spoil you and other relationships. All fruit isn’t fresh and all company ain’t good company.
