Be Less or Do More

What is your legacy? How will others remember you? A question not often posed. In today’s society the future is only thought about in politics or climate change. Unknowingly, each day we are gifted. We write another page in the history books of our life. The idea is that others are able to pull or draw from the stories of our lives. The trials and victories, the mountain tops and valley lows. Our lives are to assist those coming after us, to navigate to finding out their purpose, to better their families, their communities, their society, our world.

By being less, we shrink ourselves and our potential. We do the greatest disservice known to man. We settle. We give up. We make countless excuses of why we are unable; to dream, to believe, to achieve.

We say it’s not possible before even trying. We say it won’t work, before even coming up with a plan of action. We lack faith in ourselves and in others around us. People that we may or may not know are willing to help. More than we realize. If only we take action making the initial steps. Others genuinely want to see those around them and those they come in contact with become successful.

Whether it’s a small or lofty task, others want to be apart of your success helping you fulfill your aspirations. It’s one of the most natural highs of life. To be able to be apart of one’s journey. Knowing that at one point you offered; a network contact, an encouraging word, an idea or even helped see the goal through to completion.

What prevents others from accepting help? It’s the skepticism. That others want something from you. That you will be taken advantage of. That they secretly want you to fail. All in some cases are actual and reasonable fears.

“Fear is a mind killer. It is a little evil that eats you from the inside out. You must learn to face it and conquer it.”

What you think, will happen, according to your thoughts.

“As a man thinkth so is he.” Proverbs 23:7

Your thoughts have power. What you focus on becomes your ultimate reality. Why is it that when we focus on the negative, it eventually happens. We then entertain ideas such as, “when it rains it pours.” The compilation of negative thoughts and ideas results in a series of negative situations. Preventing us from reaching our ultimate goals.

We become our own road blocks. Preventing our roads of success because we weren’t ready. We couldn’t make certain sacrifices. Lack of comfortablility of thought or actions that cause us to evolve outside of our comfort zone.

What will it take for growth? The real answer, is a series of trials that force different versions of yourself. Evolving you, each time and creating new perspectives. Allowing you to view life with a new found sense of respect and appreciation.

There are some benefits to being less. Less focused on society’s normalizations. On the what the culture is doing and what new trends that are being formed. Less on, where you think you should be in life. What others think of you. Less on, the acceptance of projected fears placed by others. Less on, trying to be in the mix, assimilating to crowd rituals of standardized socialization.

DO MORE.

Do more for yourself. For what brings you peace, self love, progression and happiness.

Do more, for what calms your soul. For what clears your mind from the distractions of soceity. Do more, for what pleases your mental state. Centering yourself.

Do more, to advance progression in your life on every level and every aspect. Get away from constructs that deter your focus. Do more, of the things that allow you to focus on what really matters.

Do more, to show appreciation for your journey of growth and personal development. Create a journal, to track the progression of your mental state of awarenesses of self love. Do more, to know how you ought to be loved including your love languages. Do more, to share love with those you come in contact with. Conducting acts of love for family, friends and strangers alike.

“Less is more, means that having just the essential things is better than having way too much of superfluous things. It allows you to focus on what matters.”
